The Amsterdam market is considered to be one of the most efficient options markets in Europe whilst volumes on the Brussels Derivatives market remain comparatively low. This is partly because Belgian traders tend to look abroad and particularly to the Dutch markets, so the Brussels market remains untouched whilst the Dutch becomes increasingly liquid. WPB were asked to create a campaign to raise the profile and communicate the enhanced features of the Belgian market to increase trading volume.
Two visual routes were employed; the Belgium flag was used for all collateral targeting Dutch investors, whilst a pastiche of Magritte's painting 'Golconda' was used for Belgium investors.
NYSE Liffe is the international derivatives business of NYSE Euronext. It provides a range of global futures and options products via its state of the art trading platform.
